    This evening Mass for the feast of the Immaculate Conception will include the singing of the entire “L’hora passa” Mass of the early Baroque composer Ludovico Grossi da Viadana, as well as the great proper Gregorian chants for this high feast day. The Mass will be celebrated entirely in Latin, according to the “Tridentine” form of the Roman Rite. The Annunciation parish schola will sing.

    The Mass will be celebrated entirely in Latin, according to the “Tridentine” form of the Roman Rite. The music will be the chants of the Requiem Mass, many of which are among the most well-known of the repertoire, thanks to beloved settings by composers such as Maurice Durufé. The Annunciation parish schola will sing.

    Annunciation’s annual nighttime Christmas Mass, celebrated in English with singing led by the Annunciation parish schola. The choral repertoire will include de Victoria’s “O magnum mysterium”, de Rivulo’s “Verbum caro factum est”, Liebhold “Da die Zeit erfüllet war”, and more! Carols will begin at 8:30pm, with the Mass itself beginning at 9:00pm.

    A solo organ recital in thanksgiving for the generosity of Mrs. Ann Glazier McStravick and others who have made possible the recent renovation work on Annunciation’s historic Pilcher Opus 1206 organ. This recital is also a “farewell” for Felipe Gasper, who is leaving Annunciation after a two-year tenure as Director of Music and Organist. The repertoire will showcase the Pilcher organ’s great versatility and include several works based on Gregorian chant, with assistance from the Schola Cantorum of Annunciation.
